Turbine Oil 2190 provides mild extreme pressure protection as well as resistance to rust, oxidation, corrosion, and foaming. The foam inhibition prevents the buildup of foam in the sump tank with possible vent pipe overflow. MIL-PRF-17331 is recommended for use in marine turbine reduction gears, where heavy tooth loading and shock loads are encountered. The extreme pressure properties enable 2190 to meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-17331. Provides military approvals for use in military equipment; deposit protection; wear protection; bearing corrosion protection.
