Description

A mineral oil based anti-seize paste formulated with solid lubricants such as white solids – used primarily for assembly and run in.

Dow Corning Molykote D Paste Off-White is a solid lubricant with thickener and mineral oil, which is used as a running-in lubricant and applications that are exposed to low speeds, heavy loads, and friction contacts. It provides a high load carrying capacity, seizure prevention, and protection against corrosion, galling and fretting corrosion.

APPLICATIONS

Sliding surfaces and friction contacts exposed to heavy loads, requiring “clean” lubrication, particularly at low speeds, and as a running-in lubricant.  Suitable for use on many friction contacts; electrical and domestic appliances, packaging and office machinery, precision instruments, machinery in foodstuffs and beverages industry, as well as in textile and plastics processing machinery.

USABLE LIFE AND STORAGE

When stored at or below 20°C (68°F) in the original unopened containers, Molykote D Paste has a usable life of 60 months from the date of production.

How to apply

The sliding surfaces or contact points should be cleaned. The paste should then be applied with a brush, rag, artificial sponge or chamois leather, or be sprayed on with a spray can. It should not be used to excess like
