Castrol Braycote 806 Grease 1LB Jar MIL-PRF-27617F Type III
Castrol Braycote 806 is a smooth, buttery, off-white NLGI 2 grease based on perfluoropolyether oil and thickened with a tetrafluoroethylene gelling agent. It is thermally stable, nonflammable, chemically inert to commonly used fuels, solvents, corrosive chemicals and oxidisers. Speciality perfluorinated grease for the lubrication of taper plug valves, gaskets and bearings in fuel systems of aircraft and ground support equipment.
Also suitable for use in the presence of liquid and gaseous oxygen; for valves, threads and bearings in aerospace vehicles and equipment.
It is also suitable for use in the presence of oxygen (LOX/GOX) and other highly oxidative materials as a lubricant for valves, threads, and bearings in aerospace vehicles and supporting equipment. As a perfluorinated grease it has excellent shelf life due to its intrinsic inertness.
Braycote 806 meets the requirements of and is qualified under MIL-PRF-27617F, Type III.
Temperature Range: -30ºC to above 204ºC (-22ºF to above 400ºF).
