In the 1990’s, E-Series® catalyst formulation significantly advanced the technology for Front End selective hydrogenation of acetylene. Now, Alpha E-Series® Catalyst is the next technological advancement. The Alpha E-Series® Catalyst is specifically formulated

to enhance the overall selectivity, activity, and stability beyond the established and highly selective E-Series® catalyst. The Alpha E-Series® Catalyst is more active than the standard E-Series®, which promotes longer runtimes, but with more stability from a much wider window of operability. This allows for a greater prospect of on-spec ethylene production and a reduced risk of a runaway reaction during normal operation, process upsets, CO swings, flow rate adjustments and start-ups.
